On October 24, Jeongyang SG received a commendation from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and ICT at the 4th Technology Developers’ Day, held at Fairmont Ambassador Seoul in Yeouido.

This award recognizes the technical excellence and industrial achievements of Jeongyang SG’s independently developed structural thermal break product, or Structural Thermal Break Insulation System.

Technology Developers’ Day was established to honor R&D professionals who have contributed to technological innovation in industry and strengthened national competitiveness. This year’s ceremony was particularly meaningful as it was the first held after the government announced a proposed enforcement decree designating September 7 each year as Technology Developers’ Day.

Approximately 300 participants attended the event, including Koo Ja-kyun, Chairman of the Korea Industrial Technology Association; officials from the Ministry of Science and ICT; members of the National Assembly; leading industry representatives; and award recipients. A total of 40 technology developers and organizations received awards.

CEO Byung-kwon Ahn was selected to represent all award recipients and had the honor of delivering an acceptance speech on stage.

Jeongyang SG’s structural thermal break product is an innovative solution that fundamentally prevents heat loss through building structures while reliably supporting structural loads. It introduces a new concept by integrating the functions of insulation and structural materials into a single system.

The technology fundamentally resolves structural thermal bridging at critical areas such as balconies and rooftop parapets, which conventional insulation systems have difficulty addressing. It contributes significantly to improving building energy efficiency, preventing condensation, and enhancing occupant comfort.

Based on these achievements, Jeongyang SG’s research center was designated an Outstanding Corporate R&D Center by the Ministry of Science and ICT in 2024. The company’s technological capabilities have also been officially recognized through multiple government certifications and designations, including New Excellent Product (NEP) certification, designation as an Innovative Product, and designation as an Excellent Procurement Product.

Jeongyang SG will continue to advance technology and quality for a sustainable built environment.
