On January 6, 2026, LBN MODULAR held a technical seminar on thermal break solutions for a group of architects in Dangjin.

The seminar was organized to provide a technical understanding of structural thermal break systems for zero-energy buildings and to share examples of their application in design and construction. The presentation was delivered by Senior Researcher Sanghee Ahn.

The presentation covered the causes of thermal bridging in buildings, technical approaches to mitigating thermal bridges, and the principles of LBN MODULAR’s structural thermal break system. Based on completed projects, it also outlined the on-site application process and key technical considerations for design and construction. Solutions for improving building energy performance through structural thermal bridge mitigation were also presented.

The seminar highlighted the importance of structural detailing in achieving zero-energy buildings and reinforced the need to address thermal bridging from the design stage.
