On January 6, 2026, a technical briefing on thermal break technology was held at Tomoon Architects & Engineers.

The briefing was organized to enhance technical understanding of structural thermal break products for achieving zero-energy buildings and to share practical applications in building design and construction. The presentation was delivered by Senior Researcher Sang-hee Ahn.

The presentation covered the causes of thermal bridging in buildings, technical approaches to addressing thermal bridges, and the concept of the LBN Modular structural thermal break product. Drawing on actual construction cases, it also explained the on-site application process and key technical considerations for design and construction, while presenting strategies for improving building energy performance through the reduction of structural thermal bridging.

The briefing provided a meaningful opportunity to highlight the importance of structural details in achieving zero-energy buildings and to raise awareness of the need to address thermal bridging from the initial design stage.
